Why It Matters

"Pintharu Abhiman" empowers the painter ecosystem by strengthening skills, elevating standards, and enhancing livelihoods, contributing to a high-quality workforce, reliable service, and sustainable value across JAT’s markets.

Launched in 2022, JAT Pintharu Abhiman is the Group’s flagship social empowerment initiative focused on upskilling and professionalising Sri Lanka’s painter community, a critical stakeholder in the coatings value chain. The programme delivers structured training, certification, and employability pathways to support sustainable livelihoods.

Designed to go beyond rewards, the programme encourages painters to build a savings habit. Loyalty points are converted into cash and credited to a dedicated Commercial Bank–issued debit card, giving members flexible access to their earnings. By enabling access to formal banking, the initiative supports financial independence for daily wage earners.

Insurance & Income Protection

Comprehensive cover supports members and their families with health insurance and wage-loss protection during hospitalisation. To date, over LKR 1 million has been paid out in claims.

Education Support

Scholarships and stationery support for members’ children, with a strong focus on ensuring continuity of education for families of painters.

The JAT Loyalty Programme connects JAT directly with Sri Lanka’s painter community through a structured and meaningful engagement platform. Re-launched in 2024, the programme was redesigned around a deeper understanding of painters’ everyday needs and challenges, with a strong focus on financial inclusion, income protection, and long-term livelihood support. By offering value beyond transactional rewards, the programme helps build resilience, security, and stability across the painter ecosystem.
